SlopChopper

Static analysis for AI-assisted code

In development

SlopChopper looks for code patterns worth examining, including repeated logic with different constants, unnecessary abstractions, local rewrites of standard functions and comments that repeat the code beneath them.

Examine the pattern and the evidence

Its development focus is to make the finding and its supporting evidence clear, so a reviewer can decide what to do next.

The current codebase separates repository scanning from policy checks and includes structured reports in JSON, SARIF and Markdown. It also records when evidence or validation is unavailable.

A finding is a reason to inspect a pattern. It does not identify who wrote the code or prove that the code is defective.
